Scrapbooking with flowers, ribbons and all things beautiful -- with BOYS!

If you're like me, a Mother to Boys and a little more then addicted to scrapbooking - the paper, ribbons, flowers, buttons, glitter, you might be wondering how to incorporate all those finds into the perfect layout! I'm here to help! At least, I'll try. I've been scrapbooking for about 8 years and have only recently decided I was done with holding back on all the beautiful embellishments and am going to start using them. Hope you enjoy my journey!

Just One of Those Days

I've had them, you've had them, we've all had them....just one of those days when you don't know if you should keep trying or just turn around and go back to bed.  I think in this kitty's case, she was trying the "maybe if I look at it upside down, it will look better" perspective.  Whatever the reason, it's always good to remember, that it is just ONE of those days, and if not today, tomorrow, or the next day, it will get better!

This layout took all of about 30 minutes, which is really fast, even for me.  Inspired by Scrap your Crap's latest challenge to use 10 different manufacturing lines on a single layout, I picked all kinds of things -- brads that have been hanging around forever, scrap pieces (GCD, Carole's Creations, SEI and some others...), some Pink Paislee tape, Colorbok butterfly and frame that I've had (I kid you not) atleast 5 years and letter stickers that I've had for 5 if not longer years.  So - once again, thank you Scrap Your Crap for helping me to use a bit more of my stash!!!  Hope you like it!http://www.scrapyourcrap.blogspot.com/

From Screen 2 Scrap, It's 'YOUR FAIR AUNTIE!'

This post is dedicated to my sister, who is an amazing Auntie!  When she gets together with the boys, they are always guaranteed to have fun.  Auntie Monique is quick to run, chase, tickle and dance with the boys, leaving the boys laughing and energized, smiling from ear to ear.  Funny, but I never think to chase the boys.  Perhaps I've just been conditioned to be 'still' based on that crazy Cote Bear that always seemed to get out of control and barky whenever we ran around.  After all, if I'm chasing the kids, who is going to make sure he's not chasing the kids?  The sad part is, Cote Bear has been gone for nearly a year now and I still don't chase, wrestle and dance with the boys, but boy do they love it!  And so, Auntie, here's to you, for all of the ways you encourage my boys to let loose!  Love you!

And now, for the scrapbook page, it's inspired by this week's challenge at From Screen 2 Scrap, which is a great blog for inspiration.  Shazza and her team are always coming up with ideas - and I thank them for it.  This week's challenge - use the My Fair Lady movie poster, and incorporate a handmade hat, blue title and pinks.  I think I did them all, and of course had some fun - how could I not when you look at these smiles?

And now, back to my Craft Fair preparations!  As always, please share your feedback, and let me know what you're working on.
